Immune System

Some people catch cold at the change of seasons, so I researched how people should prevent it.

1. Eat lean protein at every meal. For example, beans, soy, and seafood (particularly oysters and crab),  almonds and cashews, are also good sources of protein, as well as magnesium, both of which help support a healthy immune system.

2. Shoot for 5 cups of fruits and veggies a day. For example, Vitamin A (sweet potatoes, carrots, and dark leafy greens) Citrus fruits (like lemons, oranges, and grapefruit), peppers, papayas, and broccoli, contain vitamin C,And vitamin E, found in nuts, seeds, and turnip greens.

3. Take a 10-minute walk a few times a day.

4. Get your vitamin D levels checked. About 50 nmol/L is generally enough to maintain overall health; less than 30 nmol/L is too low for most people. We can get from the sun and very few foods.

5. Reduce your stress levels.

6. Cook with olive and canola oils.

7. Limit your drinks.

I think it is very diffcult, but if we do that, we can prevent cold and our body became health.
You sould do that and I should do that:-)

Where Is Santa Claus From!?

Do you know where is Santa Clause From?
I think Santa is from Finland. However, my hostparents said Santa is from the Nolrth Pole.
It is interesting! I don't know which is correct. maybe everyone don't know, so I researched about him.

According to article, Santa Clause was modeled on St. Nicholas. He is from Turkey, so Santa is from Turkey. However, people's image was Santa lives in cold area and he always take reindeer, so people decided he is from Nolth Pole. However, some children asked them parents "There isn't grass in Nolth Pole. What food does teindeer eat?" so people changed he is from Finland.

I was surprised! It is so fun. I didn't know that. There is Santa Clause Village in Finland. I want to go there someday♥

Marriage

Recentry, My host father often talks about marriage. Yesterday, we talked about intercultural marriage. Ryoko's[she is japanese who live with my hostfamily.] friend's boyfriend is American. She wants to marry with him, but her parents is against it because  her parents guess if her boybriend wants to get job in Japan, it it so hard and maybe his earnings is fewer than her earning.

I don't care about it. If my earnings is bigger than my hasband, it is no problem because I think married life is build by each cooperation. Money is important but not that all. Don't you think so??

I don't know who will marry with me. My parent's don't care about person's nationality. I also don't care. Anyway, to get married is so wonderful things so please don't divorse soon(>_<)haha

Crooked teeth all the rage in Japan!?

I found very interesting article. The title of an article is "Crooked teeth all the rage in Japan."
According to the article, in recent years, some Japanese women are paying dentists to create "crooked teeth" [Japanese say "yaeba"] artificially by affixing plastic front to their real teeth.
Rumor has it that Japanese men are attracted by "yaeba".
Recently, almost popular idol and actress have "yaeba".[it's real. not fake.] Some women tend to them, so they do like that.

I was so surprised!! I have ever heard kind of this story in Japan. However, I never even dreames that this story was written by a repoter for the New York Times.
I have two "yaeba".  Some people said it is very cute, so It's my most attractive feature. However, I don't think to pay money for fake "yaeba" even if I don't have "yaeba". I think it waste money.

A reporter said "It's still changing their appearance primarily for men."
I think so, too. However, I think unvarnished appearance is the best.
I want to say "Please don't change your face:("

Thank you,
Miki Sogo
